Monthly Maintenance

While physicians and their staff make honest attempts to bill Medicare appropriately, it makes sense to enlist the help of an outside consultant to ensure that errors are kept to a minimum and risk to an adverse Medicare audit low. One step a practice can take to reduce errors and manage compliance is to participate in our Monthly Maintenance Program.

Unlimited access to our consultants and assistance with the ever-changing Medicare regulations on a daily basis can help minimize errors as well as optimize reimbursement. We've found that staff members call more frequently when they know they aren't being billed on a per-call basis. Remember, an informed staff member makes fewer billing mistakes.

Our Monthly Maintenance service includes:

  • Unlimited consultations via phone, e-mail, fax, or regular mail
  • Toll-free number for easy access
  • Quick responses to your questions (usually within 24 hours)
  • Free subscription to The Messenger, a reimbursement and coding newsletter published by Rose & Associates
  • Special Alert Newsletters and E-mail alerts regarding critical reimbursement and regulatory issues
  • Discount on subsequent annual chart audits

Services provided in conjunction with chart audits, training seminars, and appeals are not included in the Monthly Maintenance Program. These services are billed separately and require a retainer.

Training Seminars

Being well trained and knowledgeable in Medicare reimbursement is a valuable and indispensable practice resource in today's complicated regulatory environment. Regular staff training, which is required as part of a Compliance Plan, helps to reduce, if not eliminate, the risk of adverse Medicare audits.

Staff training also helps keep reimbursement at its optimal level--a must in today's environment of reduced Medicare reimbursement. Rose & Associates offers a variety of documentation, coding, and reimbursement seminars specifically developed to educate physicians, administrators, office managers, insurance clerks, and allied health personnel. Although we prefer to present the seminars in the format shown below, we can customize any seminar to meet the needs of a particular practice for an added fee.

Our seminars qualify for continuing education (CE) credit through the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO). Each practice will be responsible for obtaining CE credits for any seminars conducted by us.

Currently, we provide training seminars in the following areas:

  • ASC Coding & Compliance
  • Evaluation & Management (E&M) Coding
  • Medicare Basics
  • Optometry Billing
  • Reimbursement & Compliance Staff Training
  • Technician Coding
